Side-hung window
... and now it’s ready for use by our customers: the side-hung window has ISO glazing and places high demands on its design due to the heavy weight resulting from its dimensions. The window weighs in at approx. 40 kg – 20 kg of which is accounted for by the glazing alone. The viewing area measures 800 mm x 660 mm. The weight of the window glass (28 mm laminated safety glass/toughened safety glass ISO) combined with the window’s dimensions could quickly result in imprecise opening and closing if the design wasn’t as sophisticated as it is, i.e. the window snags when opening and no longer closes precisely and tightly. This problem has been eliminated through the use of a two-point lock and opening via an integrated gas strut. The new side-hung window also offers a latch position at 10°, which can be fixed using the ergonomic rotary handle. The opening angle is also restricted to 90°.
